The concept Office Not Office transforms the retail space into a subversive workplace scene, where office codes are reinterpreted through Wildfang’s tomboy tailoring and utilitarian workwear. Customers enter a world framed by austere materials that set a strict, almost ascetic tone. Against this backdrop, suits, coveralls, and shirt-and-tie details take on heightened sensuality, their gender-fluid provocations amplified by the rigidity of the environment.

Such was the case when designers Nate Berkus and Jeremiah Brent were commissioned to transform a stately but somewhat dour Tudor house built in 1925 in L.A.’s Hancock Park neighborhood.
